Butte Valley

About Butte Valley

The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., develops character, leadership, confidence and a sense of community in youth through a program that teaches the care of horses and ponies, riding and mounted sports.

Butte Valley Pony Club, founded in 2013, is a local affiliate of the Sierra Pacific Region of the United States Pony Club. Butte Valley currently has youth and adult members from Butte, Glenn, Tehama, and Nevada Counties in Northern California.

As a club we are dedicated to the development of riders as stewards of the horse, and leaders of the community at all ages and at all levels of ability.  Our home venue is the lovely Camelot-Mechoopda Equestrian Park in Oroville, CA and we have bi-monthly meetings there.

USPC Pony Clubs and Riding Centers are assigned to one of 41 geographical regions, which are administered by a volunteer Regional Supervisor (RS) and other appointed and elected officers. Regions offer additional activities and opportunities for members and support for the club and center leaders under their administration. Butte Valley Pony Club is part of the Sierra Pacific Region. Visit the region's website for the contact information for the Regional Officers.
