July 2025 - Intro to Eventing Rally
The Butte Valley Pony Club team (first picture left to right - Phoebe, Harper, Sophia, Gracelyn, and Dominique) finished 3rd on combined riding and horse management scores - so proud of these girls!!

July 2025 - 6 Rivers Camp
This camp was in Humboldt, and the lovely weather is a draw for our club. We typically have to endure triple digit temperatures through the summer, so the clouds and mist of Humboldt are a much welcome reprieve from the heat! Dominique, Harper, Sophia, Betsy, and Lauren attended. This year the camp had Daniel Stewart as one of the clinicians, and our members got to spend 3 days learning about sports psychology, and how to pressure proof our minds! On top of that, those that were attending the Eventing Rally (held the 3 days immediately after camp) got to school over the cross country jumps that were part of the course during the Rally. To top it all off, several of us made it to the beach! Such a great camp every year.

June 2025 - Regional Camp
We had one member attend the regional camp at Lone Tree Farm in Waterford. Despite it being incredibly hot, Lauren had a blast and learned a lot!

June 2025 - D3 Certifications!
Congratulations to our BVPC members who earned their D3 certifications on Saturday! Phoebe earned her D3 in Dressage, Harper earned her D3 in Eventing, and Dominique earned her D3 in Horse Management, Eventing, AND Dressage! We also had Allie from another club join in our certification and it was great to meet and ride with her!
A huge thank you to Camelot Mechoopda Equestrian Park for providing the great facilities for this certification.

April 2025 - Hunter/Jumper Schooling Show hosted by BVPC
Back to back events had our planning team busy, but we pulled off two shows in two weeks! With 32 horses in attendance, the Spring Butte Valley Hunter/Jumper Schooling Show was a great success. Competitors braved the rain through a full day of jumping, and the footing at Camelot held up through it all! (Huge thank you to Johnny and Camelot!). From our club we had Phoebe, Harper, Sophia, Dominique, and Betsy competing. We can't wait to do it again in the fall!

April 2025 - BVPC Hosted Our 2nd Dressage Rally!
With a lot of planning from a GREAT event team, BVPC hosted our second Dressage Rally for Sierra Pacific Region! We had 6 teams competing with 25 horses, invaluable volunteers, and fun all around!
Everyone came home with lots of ribbons and prizes! We had one full BVPC team with Alyssa, Harper, Sophia, Dominique, and Phoebe. A second scratch team with Gracelyn, the girls from Blossom trail and Kaycee as shadow stable manager, and a third scratch team with Natalie on the adult team! All BVPC competitors showed the true Pony Club spirit, and worked together as team mates through the good and the challenges!
A HUGE thank you to all of our volunteers. We could not make this happen without you.
Thank you to all parents/friends/family of competitors that volunteered their time during the Rally! I cannot possibly name everyone who came and volunteered their time, but your time was much appreciated and the Rally could not have ran smoothly without your help.
Amber Seltzer, for the second year in a row, volunteered her time as a dressage judge. Thank you Amber! Melissa Dabadie was an amazing CHMJ as always, and mentored Lena McLelland towards getting her own HM judge approval. A great team that makes HM fun, thank you to both of you! Thank you to Melissa Myers for being a great TD!
Thank you to the Camelot site manager, Johnny, for prepping the ground prior to competitor arrival, and making sure site related things ran smoothly. We know as one of the first big events of the year, there was a lot to do, and the grounds looked awesome!!
On our BVPC team, thank you to Tish for being an amazing organizer, Mariah for being the a great show secretary, Allie for keeping track of treasury matters. There are so many things that go with each of those jobs that I can't even begin to name them all. Thank you to Karen and Dennis for cooking and preparing the food for the entire rally. Without them, we WOULD NOT have meals available for our competitors! Thank you to Leigh, Harper, and Jon for getting Rally Kit 1 together that one of our teams used! Thank you to Lena, Sophia, and Steve for taking Rally Kit 2 home to initiate that prep for our next Rally when we have more than one team! Thank you Leigh for organizing the silent auction and raffle. Thank you to Leigh, Karen, and everyone else who helped reach out to companies for the prizes involved with that, and for the competitor SWAG bags! Thank you to Allie for letting Natalie ride Rollo so that the adult team would have a full team.
And last but far from least, thank you to our whole event planning team: Tish, Karen, Leigh, Lena, Mariah, Allie, and Lauren. There was so much behind the scenes work in prep, set up, and tear down that, once again, I can't even begin to name it all. Thank you thank you thank you. The time you put in for Pony Club is invaluable, and cannot emphasize enough that this event would not have happened without you.
